OBITUARY:

Ernest Albert, 73, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Harnish) Albert, passed away peacefully August 20, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor.

He was born April 10, 1931, in East Millinocket, the son of Arthur and Rose (Corbin) Albert.

Ernie was employed for many years at Leadbetter International and in recent years at Leadbetter Super Stop.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of 55 years, two sons, Ernest, Jr., of Winterport, and Richard and his wife, Jodi of Old Town, six grandchildren, Jeannie Crouse and her husband, Brandon, of Gardner, Kansas, Bobbie Bullard of Leavenworth, Kansas, Ashley and Brittany Albert of Brewer, Hunter and Olivia of Old Town, four great grandchildren, Traven and Taylor Crouse of Gardner, Kansas, and Morgan and Jewel Bullard of Leavenworth, Kansas, one sister, Tina Aucoin, of Rindge, New Hampshire, and one brother, Robert. Ernest is also survived by a very special friend and employer, Ted Leadbetter of Brewer and Southwest Harbor. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence, Arthur and Bill, and one sister, Rosanna Hatch.

Grampy's favorite pastime was spending time with the light of his life, grandson, Hunter (a/k/a Chubby Chub), watching cartoons as they snuggled together in his easy chair. Other favorite pastimes Ernie enjoyed were having cookouts with family and friends, going out to breakfast, going to Pat's Pizza on Saturday nights, and going fishing. He was a kind and sensitive man who was loved by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport, (Lebanon Road) with Pastor Darren Morgan, pastor of the Brownville Community Church, officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden.
