Willis (Blackie) Ochs Great Bend Tribune 12-20-1976
Willis Blackie Ochs, 57, Rt 1, died at the Central Kansas Medical Center Sunday night.
He was born May 3, 1919 at Shaffer. He was a farmer and lifelong resident of this community, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the DAV and a member of the Eagles. he married Virginia Leek on Nov 21, 1946. She died Sept 6, 1970. He married d LaRea McConnaugh on Aug 26, 1975 at Hoisington.
Surviving are the widow, of the home, a son, Frank of the home, two daughters, Mrs Don (Sue) McAnnulla, Great Bend and Mrs Jake (Shari) Radke, Great Bend, three step daughters, Cheslea Brown, of the home, Beverly Huslig, Great Bend, Connie Flint, Santa Ana, Calif; two sisters Mrs William Evans, St George, Kansas and Mrs Ray Humphrey of Hoisington; four grandchildren.
Funeral services at 10 am Wednesday at Bryant-Fryberger Mortuary with Rev Robert Gordon officiating. Burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion. A memorial has been established to the Cancer Society. Friends may call at the Mortuary after 4 pm today.
