She was born 28 Mar 1922 in New Berlin, the daughter of James Blaine and Laura Pearl Money Smith. She married George H. Brown in 1941 in Louisiana, MO.
Suvivors: her husband, three daughters, Marilyn Bernhardt of Marion, Carolyn Ray of Athens and Laura Jasmon of Mayfield, KY, brother James Smith of Hammond, IN, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Emmett Smith and three sisters, Hazel Prince, Linda Taulle and Elizabeth Long.
Alice was an employee of Springfield Dry Goods and Butternut Thrift Stores for many years prior to her retirement.
Services were held on Friday at Ellinger-Kunz and Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Barbey officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park.
