George M. Miller, resident of Plattsmouth for 20 years, died at his home on South 6th St. Saturday morning, April 17, 1954, following a long illness. He was 65 years old.


Born at Fairbury, June 3, 1888, Mr. Miller came to Plattsmouth from Cedar Creek, where he had lived for several years. Son of Louis and Lydia Miller, he was married November 2, 1914, to Marjorie Robbins.


Because of ill health, he had been unable to work for the past 6 years.


Surviving are his wife Marjorie; 2 sons, George D. Miller of Baildon, Yorkshire, England; and Sterling R. Miller of West Palm Beach, FL; and 7 daughters; Mrs. Eloise Bradberry of Indianapolis, IN; Mrs. Betty Spangler of Plattsmouth; Mrs. Hazel Vance of Pleasantdale, NE; Mrs. Mary Burke of Omaha; Mrs. Louise Mason of Shell Beach, CA; and Mrs. Alta Archer of San Diego, CA.


Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jessie Olson of CA; and 6 brothers, Jim of Eureka, IL; Will of Medicine Lodge, KS; Percy of Alexander, NE; Burt of Washington; Ed of Plattsmouth; and Rollin of Minonk, IL.


Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, April 19, at Caldwelll-Linder Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Wabash Cemetery at Wbash.
