ADA, Jan. 19 - Funeral services for Mrs. Clara B. Anderson, 77, widow of the late Dr. George Anderson, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Preston funeral home here. Rev. Lee M. Moore, pastor of the Ada Church of Christ, will be in charge, assisted by Rev. C. L. Stager, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran church here. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery here.
Mrs. Anderson, who was born March 8, 1865 in Athens-co, died Monday at Lima Memorial hospital. She had been in failing health several years and seriously ill about two weeks. She suffered from heart disease.
She formerly was a teacher. Her husband was a minister of the Church of Christ and a chaplain in the British Navy in World War I. He died in 1937. During his life, they traveled extensively and lived in many parts of the world including the British Isles and Malta. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Ada Church of Christ, the W.C.T.U. and the Current Events club.
Surviving are one brother, John D. Russell of Ada; one sister, Mrs. Charles Henderson of Los Angeles, Calif.; one step-son, G. G. Anderson of Westerfield, Conn., one step-grandson and eight nieces and nephews.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home after Wednesday noon.
