"COGDILL, Elisha died 28 Feb 1902 at his home 1 1/2 miles south of Stanberry, Mo., aged 69. He was born in Daviess Co., Mo., 2 Aug 1832. Moved to Gentry Co., Mo. in 1842. He marrid Sarah A. Cranor 31 Aug 1854. Twelve children wre born and 10 survive him. He leaves his wife, 10 children, 1 sister, and 3 brothers.
Two of his children are --Mrs. Sude[sic] Williams and Mrs. Cora Shisler, both of N. Dakota and could not be here for the funeral. Burial in Cooper Cemetery."
