Andrew Jackson Criger

Andrew Jackson Criger was born January 12, 1871 in Elkhart, Indiana and died August 5, 1948 in Ashley, Indiana. He married Nora E. Hepler, who was born about 1871. They married in 1931 in Mishawaka, Indiana and they were the parents of four children:

Andrew Jackson Criger worked for Mishawaka Rubber and Woolen Manufacturing Company during the first years of his marriage. He was also an auctioneer and a breeder of Durock Jersey hogs. He was an avid fisherman, with a great love of fishing and went on fishing trips with his sons, Claude and Kenneth. His son Claude owned a store called the Musical Pig in Jefferson City, Missouri. It was a combination filling station, restaurant and dance hall. After Andrew's first wife Nora Hepler Criger died, he later remarried. His second wife's name was Sylvia Van Hovarter
