The Loops were one of the pioneer families of Wood County. Rebecca was the first wife of Anthony Ewing marrying him on 7 August 1836 in Wood County. She was the daughter of Peter Loop and Rebecca Gilbert Loop. There was an older sister of Rebecca's by the name of Betsy Maria Loop. Rebecca may have been buried with her granddaughter, Martha, as it is listed as a multiple burial.
