The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, wife of Amos S. Adams, occurred at her home, 1037 Lehman Street, Thursday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock. Her death being the result of cancer, from which she suffered for more than two years. Notwithstanding her sufferings, she retained all her facilities up to the time of her death taking great interest in all the affairs of her home and children. She was a kind wife and loving mother. The absence of her gracious presence from the family circle will bring sadness and sorrow to the hearts of those who were want to call her by the hallowed names of "mother" and "grandmother." Mrs. Adams was born 65 years ago in the county, 30 of which she spent in this city. She was a faithful and consistent member of Salem U. B. church, always taking a deep interest in church work. She is survived by a husband and three sons as follows: Samuel, now serving in the Philippines, Harry, residing at 1034 Orchard Avenue and John, residing at 826 Church Street.
