JUSTICE REPHANN DEAD
WIFE DIED WEDNESDAY
Eckhart, Md, July 2 - Justice Rephann, 62,who died Friday, on the day of the funeral of his wife, Mrs. Matilda Rephann, will be buried by her side Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Eckhart Cemetery with services by the Rev. Joseph W. Young, pastor of Eckhart Methodist Episcopal Church.
Mr. Rephann had been in ill health for some time.
He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Junior Order United American Mechanics, Independent Order of Old Fellows and the Knights of Malta.
One son, William H. Rephann, and eight brothers and four sisters surive.
They are: John, of Pinto, Md.; Frank, of Frostburg, and Joseph,Henry, Fred, Conrad, Philip and George Rephann, all of Eckhart; and four sisters, Mrs George M. P. Porter, Mrs. Samuel Wolford, and Mr. H. E. Lancaster, of Eckhart.
Note that While Tombstone lists his name as Justus Rephan, he was also known as Justice Rephann, Eustace Rephorn as there are many variations on his name. His father Henry Rephann immigrated to Baltimore in 1838 as Henry Rebhahn from Saxony.
