Robert "Steve" Shearin, 51, of Hillsboro died Feb. 18, 2010, in Crystal City. Mr. Shearin was an employee of Second Site Systems. He was a member of Amvets Post 48 of De Soto and a long time volunteer with Hillsboro Little League and the Hillsboro Fire Protection District. Born Aug. 16, 1958, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of Juanita (Wilkerson) Shearin of Hillsboro and the late Robert L. Shearin.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. (Berger) Shearin of Hillsboro; a son, Phillip J. Shearin of Herculaneum; two daughters, Bobbi L. Shearin of Hillsboro and Jennifer M. (Andrew) Beauchamp of Hillsboro; two sisters, Lisa Ann (Tim) Shoemaker of De Soto and Christina Beth (Sonny) Cash of Bismarck; and four grandchildren: Kole Beauchamp, Xander Beauchamp, Lillian Shearin and Isabella Shearin.
Funeral services were to be held Feb. 24 at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro Little League, P.O. Box 311 Hillsboro, 63050. Arrangements were under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
