Josephine Westfall, 69, of Elizabeth, passed away Wednesday evening, May 9, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.
She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Andrew and Lucinda Price Sampson. She atended God's House of Worship of Elizabeth and was a mother and homemaker.
Surviving are three sons, Ralph (Melinda) Miller of Wooster, Ohio, Terry (Cindy) Miller of Shreve, Ohio, Larry Miller of Vienna; a daughter Deloris (Roger) Nelson of Elizabeth; stepchildren, Danny Westfall of Leroy, Donny (Norma) Westfall of Ripley, Randy (Cathy) Westfall of Harmony, and Sue (Charles) Bowman of Ravenswood; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nine step-grandchildren; one brother, Walter (Elma) Sampson of Shreve, Ohio; four sisters, Iva (Cecil) Cottrell of Reedy, Opal Marks of Ripley, Mary (Ross) Hall of Akron, Ohio, and Mattie (Gary) Roberts of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Miller Sr. and Elwood J. Westfall; daughter, Donna Sue Miller; and brothers, Warden Sampson, Weldon Sampson and Russell Sampson.
Services were held Saturday afternoon, May 12, at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home of Elizabeth with Pastor Raymond Gum officiating. Burial followed in Freeport Cemetery.
