Herald Coaster, March 22, 1967:

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Hede, 81, of Orchard, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church in Orchard. Rev. Ben Behrens officiated.

Mrs. Hede passed away Saturday morning in Friendswood after an extended illness. She was a native of Hungary and a long-time resident of Orchard.

Among the survivors are her husband, Joe Hede of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. C.N. Hillis of Houston; a granddaughter, Lana Gail Hillis of Houston; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Schoettler of Orchard.

Pallbearers were W.C. William, M.M. Cook, Charles Sager, L.E. Walger, James Stewart, and Frank Kellner.

Burial was in the Orchard Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors.
