Funeral services for Mrs. Mata M. Kemp, 78, of Orchard, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Orchard Methodist Church.
Mrs. Kemp passed away in Houston after an extended illness. She was a resident of Fort Bend County for about 67 years.
Mrs. Kemp is survived by a sister, Emma Thomas, of Houston; a brother, C.F. Mahler, of Orchard; and numerous other relatives.
Burial was in the Orchard Cemetery, with Rev. Ben Behrens officiating. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors.
