Sarah died in Charleston in the care of her daughters Helena Mae Findley and Eva Erness Worsham. Her body was transported back to Bluff for burial beside William. Their grave is unmarked, though it may have been marked at one time.
She had a total of 15 children, losing one infant at 11 months. She like to say she had 7 sons and 7 daughters.
The photo that appears on this memorial is a photo of their portrait, given to me by Flora Brenda Watson of Louisville, Kentucky. Flora inherited it from her mother Selma Brooks Watson, who had taken care of her grandparents Addie Worsham and Terrel Brooks. It was by the merest happenstance that I learned that Flora had this old photo, but she didnt know who the people in it were.
