Mrs. LoDean Douglas Dies Saturday A.M.
Mrs. LoDean Douglas, 79, died Saturday morning about 10 o'clock at the home of a son, Clarence Weaver, three miles west of Ft. Branch, following a short illness.
Surviving in addition to the son Clarence; are a son, Floyd Douglas west of Ft. Branch, and a daughter, Laura Garwood, Evansville; two brothers, Stephen Mead, west of Ft. branch and John Mead, west of Ft. Branch and a sister Mrs. Meretha ____ of Evansville; nine grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Douglas had been a lifelong resident of Gibson County. She was born November 14, 1868 to Elisha and Jane Douglas Mead.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Charles Weaver in 1896, and 2nd husband, Dow Douglas in 1922.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
The body will be taken to the home of the son, Clarence Weaver, from the Wright Funeral Home Sunday afternoon.
NOTE: She is buried beside her first husband, Charles Weaver in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
She died by taking rat poison.
