BLANCHE MAPLE, 56, DIES HERE SATURDAY

Widely Known Secretary Came to Wichita with Family in 1909

Blanche Maple, aged 56, of 337 North Market, died Saturday afternoon in a local hospital. For the past 15 years she had been secretary to Henry Lampl, local attorney, and she was widely known in the city's legal circles. During 30 years of secretarial work here she had been associated with such prominent attorneys as Chester I. Long and Claude Depew.

She was born in Kingman county and was graduated from high school there. In 1909 she moved with her family to Wichita an attended business college here. She was a member of the Cleveland Avenue Church of Christ.

Miss Maple is survived by a brother, S. B. Maple, of 308 South Hydraulic, the city building inspector, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Shannon, 1524 South Santa Fe.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Downing mortuary.
