Survived by his wife; nine daughters: Mrs. Henry Kirbach of Carrollton, Mrs. Matt Kirbach of Carrollton, Catherine Abeln of Carrollton, Mrs. Frank Wershanpp of Batchtown, Mrs. Laurence Feldman, Mrs. Dewey Skinner, Mrs. Joseph Schribner, Mrs. Vincent Kallal, Mrs. Sylvester Kallal, all of Jerseyville; one son, John Abeln of Medora; three sisters: Mrs. Anna Pranger, Mrs. Margaret Meyer, and Mrs. Helen Polhman, all of Carrollton; two brothers: Herman Abeln and Barney Abeln, both of Carrollton.
