He was born February 18, 1920 as the son of Eli and Flora Elder Woosley.
He was a retired Boilermaker; member of the Caneyville Masonic Lodge and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include; his wife, Betty Sue Young Woosley; two sons, Sherrill Woosley of Clarkson and Eddie Glen Woosley of Caneyville; four brothers, Ivan and Denny Woosley both of Caneyville, Eli Woosley of Olaton and Millard of Louisville; three sisters, Nova Bashan of Caneyville, Marceline Scarlott of Morgantown, and Dorceline Richardson of Florida; six grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Friday, January 10, 1997 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. Eddie Martin officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
