SCHOFIELD, NORMAN. Private. No 240809. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Honley. Only son of Mr and Mrs John Arthur Schofield, 41 Berry Croft, Honley. Employed by Messrs A. Thornton and Sons, Crossley Mills, Honley. Attended Honley Primitive Methodist Church. Enlisted November 1914. Embarked for France January, 1917. Killed in action at the Battle of Cambrai, 20.11.1917, aged 21 years.
