Mr. and Mrs F. H. Cook, of 16, Bourne Road, Spalding, have been officially informed that their eldest son, Pte. Jack Cook has been Killed in action in Italy. He would have been 20 years of age nest month, joined up in November 1942, and went abroad in September 1943. Prior to joining the Forces, he was employed by the Spalding Laundry Co, Ltd., being a member of the Home Guard at the time.
He was educated at the Parish Church Day School. His father is on the staff at the Beet Sugar Factory and is a member of the Home Guard and a sister, Miss Dorothy Cook is engaged in nursing in London.
