Casualty of the Great War,served with the Australian Infantry, A.I.F.50th Bn. Service No:3349.

Ernest,aged 26 years 10 months,enlisted in the AIF on the same day, 28/7/1915, as his brother,Hurtle, aged 19 years
and they both embarked at Adelaide, S.A. for active service abroad on 27/10/1915 per HMAT "Benalla" (A24).


His brother, also serving with the Australian Infantry, A.I.F.50th Bn.,Private Hurtle Ralph Harvey also fell.His Service Number was 3347-he was killed 2nd April 1917. His grave at NOREUIL AUSTRALIAN CEMETERY is marked by Special Memorial B. 7.

They were sons of James and Martha Matilda Harvey.
