A public domain postcard scene of the Freckleton Holy Trinity School, taken before the crash. I have recently been informed that the handwritten comments were made by a Sgt. Joseph M. Elim, from Springfield, Massachusetts. He was stationed in the area at the time of the tragedy, and had often flown with John Bloemendal.
