Robert Britt Miller registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and was inducted into the Army June 30, 1944 at Fort Douglas, Utah. He joined Company L, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Rifleman January 8, 1945 while the unit was in the vicinity of Lutrebois, Belgium. PFC Robert B. Miller was originally reported missing March 26, 1945 and was later confirmed killed by machine gun fire on that date while advancing on enemy held houses in the vicinity of Vennemannshoff, about 8 miles north of Gladbeck, Germany.
