Obituary: Beech Island, SC—Graveside Services for Mr. Fred A. Ashcraft, 79, of Beech Island, SC, who entered into rest August 8, 2010, will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Dr. E. Finley Limehouse officiating. Full Military Honors will be rendered.
Mr. Ashcraft was a native of Monroe, Louisiana and a former member of Heights Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Army with 20 years of service, a Veteran of the Korean War and Viet Nam and was a retired electrician with the Graniteville Company. Mr. Ashcraft was the husband of the late Ruby Baxley Ashcraft and father of the late Wayne Ashcraft.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nicki and Curt Arant, North Augusta; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Morrison, Beech Island and Rick and Susan Morrison, Port Neches, TX; six grandchildren, Justin Ashcraft, Michael Ashcraft, Rhonda Clark, Denise Hamrick, Ricki Lyn Morrison and Travis Morrison; seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
