Jerie was the son of William Henry and Catherine "Katie" (Rushmore) Packard. He was named after his mother's uncle, Jeremiah Rushmore of Farmington, New York.
Sadly, Jerie died of spinal meningitis at the age of four. He was well loved as evidenced by his beautiful little tombstone.
