Only son of Concepcion Fernandez y Colon and Vincente (Vicente)Torres Fernandez; died at age 8 months 16 days old. He was in the New York Foundling Hospital. He was survived by his father and mother and six sisters, Mercedes, Elena (Helen), Irene, Frances, Juanita,and Ramona. Their mother died in 1936 while in the care of Sea View Hospital for the Treatment of Tuberculosis. Unfortunately, his sisters had to go to institutes for destitute children called Mission of the Immaculate Virgin, aka, Mount Loretto in Staten Island, and also Little Flower House of Providence, Wading River, NY.
Their maternal grandparents were Ramon Fernandez y Lugo and Librada Colon both of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Their maternal great- grandparents were Ramon Fernandez (Sr.) and Juana Lugo. Librada's mother was Alejandrina Carmen Colon.
