Eugene Blagg, 62, of Denton died Wednesday at Westgate Hospital. He was born January 8, 1921, in Denton County and married Evie Mae Brown November 18, 1938, in Denton. A house mover and the owner of a ditching service, he was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and the Knights of Pythias Lodge. Service will be at 2pm Friday at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Angel officiating. Burial will be Roselawn Memorial Park under the direction of Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Richard Eugene Blagg and Danny Mack Blagg, both of Denton; one daughter, Peggy Gann of Sanger; one brother, Bill Richard Blagg of Denton; five sisters , Eunice Sparks of Pilot Point, Mary Jane Ashmore of Greenville, and Alice Pockrus, Clara Norris, and Pauline Miller, all of Denton; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 tonight for visitation. Memorials may be made to Ann's Haven Hospice, 225 W. Hickory, Denton 76201. Denton Record Chronicle, February 17, 1983.
