Virgil (Frog) Norris, 79, of Denton, died Friday at Wilson-Jones Memorial Hospital in Sherman.
He was born July7, 1908 in Denton and married Clara Blagg January24, 1933 in Marietta, Oklahoma.
A member of the Baptist Church, he attended Garza, Lloyd, Dixon and Salt Branch public schools and work for Mobil Oil as a lease operator in Texas and Louisiana for 36 years.
Service will be at 3:30 pm, Monday at Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Leon Turner officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Denton.
Survivors include his wife, of Denton; two sons Glenn Allen Norris of Elkmont, Alabama and Jerry Wayne Norris of Fort Worth; three brothers, Henry Norris of Victoria, Raymond Norris of Mathis and Hubert Norris of El Campo; two sisters, Della Norris Lyles and Dorthy Norris Overtuff, both of Denton; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral hom from 2-4 pm today for visitation.
