Mary came to America as a young girl with her father Simon Shermann. He had a store in Indian Head, Maryland and Samuel Kalin worked for him.
Samuel and Mary were married sometime before 1915 and they had the following children:
Louis A. Kalin (1916-2000)who married Jessie Coumbs
Harry Kalin(1918-1975)who married Dorothy Bauman
Morton Kalin(1921- 2020)who married Sylvia Berger
Beatrice Kalin (1924- 2020) who married Dexter Rosenbloom
Mary and Sam moved to Great Barrington where they lived until his death in 1943.
Mary later married Abe Heller in Jan. 1950 and they lived in New London,Connecticut.
Mary's later years were spent in Springfield,Massachusetts near her daughter,Beatrice and her son Harry.
