Edna Marie Dove Secrist, 91, of Broadway, died January 13, 2019 at Shenandoah Terrace in New Market.
She was born April 7, 1927 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Loy and Ida Thomas Dove.
She was a homemaker. Edna was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Mayland. She enjoyed Plains Promenaders for years, Bridgewater Home Auxiliary, and judging at local county fairs.
She was married to Monroe Harvey Secrist, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2009.
Surviving is a son; Bruce E. Secrist, of Broadway, two grandchildren; Brian Secrist and Melinda Secrist, both of Broadway, one step grandchild; Kevin Barb, of Broadway, two great grandchildren; and a brother; Ray Dove, of Broadway.
She was preceded in death by a son; Ronnie Secrist, two brothers; Justin and Paul Dove, and two sisters; Pauline Kuykendall, Lucille Mongold.
Pastor’s Larry Aikens and Lane Turner will conduct a funeral service Wednesday 11 AM at Bethel Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
