Lucille Mongold, 77, of Bloomington, Ind., died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at Bloomington Hospital.
Mrs. Mongold was born July 7, 1929, near Criders, and was a daughter of the late Loy and Ida Thomas Dove.
She moved to Bloomington in 1950. She worked at RCA in 1952 and retired in 1987 after 34 years of employment. She was active in United Methodist Women and Opportunity House. She attended a oneroom school near her mountain home and attended Broadway High School and Bridgewater College for two years. She lived in Louisville, Ky. before moving to Bloomington.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Elza Mongold, and a son, Greg. She is also survived by two sisters, Edna Secrist and Pauline Kuykendall, and a brother, Ray Dove, all of Broadway, and two grandsons.
The Rev. Jim Ramsey will conduct the funeral 3:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at Day Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour before the service at the church.
