Thomas Reid of Washington, Tazewell County, Illinois, being of a sound mind, do publish and ordain this my last will and testament in form following to wit:
First: I will that after my death that my funeral expenses be paid first.
2nd: I will and bequest to my wife, Elizabeth Reid, during her natural life the lot on where I reside situated in section thirty-five ( 35) Town twenty-six (26) R 3 W and also my wood Lto situated in section thirty-three (33) in the Town above Written Tazwell County, Illinois, and all of my personal property except what it may desire to be sold to pay my funeral expenses.
3rd: I will that after the death of my wife that the Lot on which I reside and my wood Lot to be sold and her funeral expenses be paid and that family stones be set on our graves and that all due George Gibson and or his Heirs or any other obligations that my balance remaining unpaid be paid.
4th: I will and bequest to my son, William Reid all the money remaining in the hands of my executors after all of the foregoing bequests are compiles with.
5th: I hereby appoint George D. Gibson and Vivian Cloud my executors of this my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this nineteenth day of September Eighteen hundred and sixty-six.
