Services for Mildred M. Johns will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Liberty Baptist Church, Alexandria, with the Rev. Jim Thomasee officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville, under direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Johns, 86, of Pineville died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, in Rapides Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired nurse's aide from Pinecrest Development Center. She also worked at Baptist Hospital, Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and John Eskew. She received her education in Boyce and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Johns; one daughter, Abby Bordelon; two sons, Howard Blalock and Jimmy Blalock; parents, Ida Hayes McCain and William F. McCain Sr.; one sister, Nellie Williamson; and one brother, William F. McCain Jr.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Lambright of Bayou Chicot, Ann Bordelon of Alexandria and Mary Bishop of Pineville; two brothers, Carl McCain of Rigolette and John T. McCain of Pineville; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Blalock Jr., Carl Blalock, Sean Martin, Charles Viviano, Terry Bordelon and Travis Bordelon.

Friends may call from 4-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until noon Sunday in the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until time of services in the church.

Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 7020 England Drive, Alexandria, LA 71301.
