McComb, a native Texan, had begun his business in Corpus Christin in 1940, four years after being graduated from Rice Institute. He lived at 6025 Edgewater.
He was active in the First Baptist Church here, and had served as president of a Sunday School class and a member of the finance committee. He had been a director in the Corpus Christi Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce and until his illness he had taken part in numerous civic activities.
Survivors are his wife, Myrl Netzner McComb; his daughter, Virginia Beth McComb and his son, Joe Alexander McComb.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church with Dr. Carl Hereford officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park under the direction of Clifford Jackson Funeral Home.
