Son of Daniel Jackson, Jr. and Harriet Weaver; married Geneva Alice Francis Dec. 6, 1877, Watseka, Illinois; father of 9 children: Winona (Stonebraker), Zettie, Ethel, Icia (Mintner), Arthur (aka Joe Stanley,) Verner, Ocho (Pell), Odra (aka Audrey Macy) and Thane.

"Buried at Prairie Dell. Body of Former Watsekan Consigned to Native Soil. Evon Jackson, a former resident of this city, died at his home in West Point, Indiana, the past week and Saturday his remains were interred in the cemetery at Prairie Dell Church. His body was laid beside the ashes of his wife, who died about eight years ago. The cause of Mr. Jackson's death was consumption. He was 52 years of age, and besides other relatives he leaves eight children to mourn his death. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, while in this city, resided on Camp Ave. He was a well driller and thresher. Seven years ago, soon after the death of his wife, he removed to Indiana with his children. He was a good father and will be greatly missed by the unfortunate children. The youngest child is ten years of age. Mrs. Jackson was a sister to Mrs John Knickerbocker of this city. Her death was also caused by consumption."
