Lennie H Olson Services Held At Middle River

Funeral services for Lennie H. Olson,83, a retired Middle River businessman, were held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the First Lutheran church at Middle River. Mr. Olson died Wednesday morning at the Oakland Park Nursing home in Thief River Falls.

Rev. Phillip Peterson officiated at the services. Mrs. Richard Luoto was the soloist and Mrs. Phillip Peterson the organist. Interment was in the church cemetery with the Collins Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Alfred Hanson, Roy Anderson, Anraus Nelson, Fred Larson, Carl M. Anderson and Victor Berg.

Lennie H. Olson, s a son of the late Andrew and Mary Olson, was born Nov. 27, 1884 at Dalton, in Otter Tail county. As a child he moved with his parents to the Middle River community, settling in Cedar township, Marshall county. He attended school at Middle River and a business college at Crookston.

On Feb. 27, 1913 he was united in marriage to Miss Thora Moen at Thief River Falls. Following their marriage they made their home at Middle River where Mr. Olson was engaged in the baning business and also operated a grocery store for several years. He retired in 1947, Since then he made his home at Middle River until four years ago when he entered the Oakland Park Nursing home in Thief River Falls.

He is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Williard (Lillian) Anderson of New York Mills; two sons: Myron and Glenn A Olson, both of Bloomington; six grandchildren and four brothers: Henry, Nobel, George, and Edgar Olson, all of Middle River.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1952, three sisters and three brothers.
