Edgar P. Olson Rites Held At Middle River:
Edgar P. Olson, 75, of rural Middle River, died Wednesday at his home in Cedar township, Marshall county.
Funeral services for Edgar P. Olson were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m., at First Lutheran church in Middle River. Rev. Donald Fredine officiated at the services. Mrs. Eldon Sparby was the organist and Donovan Ruud, the soloist. Interment was in the Riverside cemetery with the Green Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were George Hill, Harold Brandon, Norman Anderson, Rudy Borg, Gary Peterson and Elwood Belto.
Edgar Palmer Olson, a son of the late Andrew and Mary Halvorson Olson, was born June 13, 1904 in Cedar township, Marshall county. His whole life was spent in Cedar township, where he was engaged in farming.
He was active in the community affairs, served as a member of the church council, was on the township board and was township assessor.
He married Nov. 7 1927 at Stillwater to Hazel Ulrich. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Norman (Irene) Anderson and Elinor Olson, both of Middle River, the Geraldine Olson of Erskine; two grandchildren; Mike Anderson and Mrs. Donovan Ruud; four great grandchildren; LeeAnn, Sheldon, and Travis Ruud, and Casey Anderson; one brother George Olson, a resident at the Pioneer Home in Erskine.
Three sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.
