Dorothy Icenhower, age 97 of the Cross Creek Community in Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC. She was the daughter of the late James Benton and Lona Smith McKenzie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dock Icenhower in October of 1985, her Infant Twin sons, Dwight and Dewayne Icenhower; her granddaughter Crystal Carver in November of 2001, her 5 brothers, and 1 sister. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lorna and Harvey Carver, Joy and Frank Conley all of Robbinsville, NC; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Brenda Icenhower of Louisville, TN, John and Donna Icenhower of Walland, TN; sisters, Kitty Kirkland of Maryville, TN, Janie Stephens of Reliance, TN; brothers, Austin McKenzie of Tellico Plains, TN, and Enos McKenzie of Fountain City, TN. She has 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by and will be buried with her Special Baby doll "Edie". Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverend J.B. Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Chapel prior to the Service. Committal Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday August 18, 2010 at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery. Townson-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
