MRS. CARMEN WOODLIEF:
HENDERSON — Mrs, Carmen Edwards Woodlief, 73, widow of the late C.A. Woodlief, died at 11:30 o'clock Wednesday night at her home in Henderson after a heart attack Mrs. Woodlief was born in Durham Nov 26, 1882, but had lived in Henderson many years. Her husband, who died in 1928, was the Ford dealer here for a long while. She was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia W. Payne of Charlotte, a son, D. Virgil Woodlief of Hopewell, Va; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Haliburton and Mrs, Margaret Blackley, both of Durham. The funeral will be held at two o'clock Friday aternoon at the Kesler funeral Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Dr. W.W. Leathers, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
