Taken By Death
Mrs. Lovisa Johnson,80, resident
of the Marcus community 55
years, died at 4 a.m., Sunday, after
an illness of several weeks at
the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Tom Woodall, in Tilden township.
Funeral services will be held
Tuesday. A prayer service will
be observed at 1:45 p. m., at the
Nelson Funeral home in Marcus,
followed by a formal service at
2 p. m., at Carmel Lutheran
church with the Rev. C. W. Samuelson
officiating. Burail will be
in Amherst township cemetery.
Survivors are two daughters,
Mrs. Woodall and Mrs. Hilma
Thatcher of Sioux Falls, S.D., a
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alice
Johnson of Brookings, S.D., a sister,
Mrs. Lars Anderson of Marcus,
and a brother, Edward Nelson
of Aurelia. Mrs. Johnson's
husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Johnson was born June
28, 1863, in Sweden, and came to
this country in her youth.
