WILLIAM E. BREWER, SR., 80, Edgemont, Black Lick, Pa., died unexpectedly April 20, 1967 at the Indiana Hospital.
A son of Abraham and Jennie Miller Brewer, he was born July 4, 1886, in Washington Twp. Indiana County.
Mr. Brewer was a retired coal miner, a member of the Methodist Church in Graceton, a member of the Junior Order of America Mechanics Pennsylvania Council 1000 and Local Union 6248 of the United Mine Workers of America.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. R. Beatrice Davis Brewer; a son, William Earl Brewer, Jr., Indiana; a daughter, Mrs. Harnell (Viola) Marsh, Black Lick; two brothers: Ernest, Indiana R.D. 2, and Paul, Marchand; three sisters: Mrs. Albert (Mary) McGarry [sic] of California, Mrs. Mae Swiderski of Washington, Pa., and Mrs. Joseph (Clara) Potts of Indiana; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the Shoemaker Funeral Home in Blairsville where services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Mr. Earl F. Ostrander officiating and interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Garden of Devotions, in Indiana.
