The Sunday Gazetteer, Denison, Texas 1-30-1898: Local Condensations: Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1898. David Lee, aged 90 years, died Monday at the home of his grand daughter, Mrs. J. L. Drake, on West Sears street. The old gentleman had had an eventful life, and was identified with many of the most startling episodes of western pioneer life. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Benner Gibble.
