On Friday night, August 27th, 2010 the Bourbon County Colonels paid tribute to the George Rogers Clark Senior wide receiver Mykal, by wearing his number on their helmets at their first home game. Some players were wearing shirts with "RIP MB" printed on the front, and printed on the back the saying "school and traditions may keep us apart, but football makes us brothers at heart."

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF MYKAL,

I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when my life is done.
