Mr. Petty is survived by his wife, Margaret Petty, of Olney; son, Jeffrey Petty and his wife, Laurie, of Sanborn, Ind.; daughter, Connie Harriss and her husband, Jerry, of Olney; daughter, Janice Karns and her husband, Gene, of Altamont; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sylvia Petty; son, Stephen Douglas Petty; and brothers, Herschel and Burl.
