Arthur R. Kartes, 60, Langdon, died Thursday, November 5, 1987, in Cavalier County Memorial Hospital here.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday ai St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Langdon.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today in Brooks Funeral Home, Langdon, and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today in the church.
A wake service will begin at 7 p.m. today in the church.
Arthur R. Kartes was born in August 31, 1927, near Wales, North Dakota, the son of David and Mary Ann Kartes. He grew up on the farm and served with the U. S. Army in Japan and Korea from 1950 to 1952. He later returned to Langdon, where he worked as a barber for 31 years.
He married Alyce Ledoux August 12, 1957, in Langdon.
Survivors are his wife; daughter, Margaret Kartes, Grand Forks; sons, Michael, Kent, Washington, Darryl, Langdon; brothers, Lawrence, Hannah, North Dakota, Leslie, Langdon, The Rev. L. Kartes, Manvel, North Dakota; and sisters, Madeline (Mrs. Syl) Metzger and Alice (Mrs. Arnold) Metzger, both of Langdon, and Mary Ann (Mrs. Dennis) Stewart, Carmel, Indiana.
