Married Mildred Armstrong July 11, 1839 in Monroe County Missouri. According to obituary in Kansas City Times April 13, 1891, he was Superintendent of the Confederate Widows and Orphans Home. Mason for 54 years.
He was an Educator, Mayor of Westport and a Judge in the Jackson County Administration.
Gravestone has 1813-1889., probably an error in replacing a temporary marker.
