Jonathan W. Haas, Topton, a retired farm hand, died of complications Saturday afternoon at the Allentown hospital at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 27 days. He was born in Topton and lived there all his life, a son of the late Reuben and Catherine (Long) Haas. Surviving him are four brothers and one sister: Harvey and Reuben, Topton; Roeller, Maxatawny; Nicholas, Reading; and Mrs. Henry Walbert, Alburtis R.D. Services will be held at 1.30 p.m. Thursday at the J. J. Schofer funeral parlors in Topton, and interment will follow in St. Paul's cemetery, Mertztown, with Rev. Dr. George B. Smith officiating. Viewing at Schofer's Wednesday from 7 to 9.
