HADLEY - Annette (Schreiber) Rabinowitz, 79, of 32 Green-leaves Dr., died Sunday April 18, 2004 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born July 21, 1924 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Schreiber. A graduate of the High School of Commerce, she was trained and employed as a General Motors bookkeeper. Annette was an avid tennis player in her younger years. She was a life member of Yeshiva University Womens' Group and was also active in the women's auxiliary of the Mass. Society of Optometrists.

Annette leaves her husband Richard; her son, Louis of Westfield; and her daughter, Wendy Pearson of Shutesbury; a sister, Theresa Meyers of Longmeadow; a brother, Dr. Marvin Schreiber of Lafayette, IN; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Harold R. Ascher & Son Memorial Chapel with burial in the Mass. Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.

Memorial observance will be at the home of Wendy Rabinowitz Pearson, 7 Baker Rd., Shutesbury with 7 p.m. services Wednesday & Thursday. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to VNA Hospice of Hampshire County, 168 Industrial Dr., Northampton, MA 01060.
