Anna Muriel Hasty, age 86 of Alexandria, Louisiana, formerly of Ola, Arkansas, died Monday, June 2, 2003 at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. The daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Bond, she was born January 1, 1917 in Gravelly, Arkansas. She graduated from Plainview High School. She attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Louisiana, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ola.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Charles Hasty; a son, Charles Lee Hasty; five sisters, Beatrice Cornelius, Thelma Ickes, Bennye Bitle, Troyce Sanders Edith Bitle.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara and Harvey Benson of Alexandria, LA; a sister, Mode Olgar Fowler of Gravelly, AR; 2 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, June 4, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Alexandria.

Graveside service and interment will be 10:00 a. m. Friday, June 6, at Sandlin Cemetery in Ola, AR, officiated by Pastor Bob Vincent and Rev. Kevin Cook. Arrangements by Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville, AR. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p. m. Thursday at Humphrey Funeral Home in Ola. In lieu of flowers make donations to Grace Presbyterian Church, 4900 Jackson St. Extension, Alexandria, LA 71301; or Ola First United Methodist Church. Internet obituary at Legacy.com.
